UDOT has been busy this construction season, and now things are wrapping up for the winter. With some major road construction projects completed, like I-15 in South Davis, motorists will be able to enjoy a break from traffic delays, road closures, and lane splits. Instead, they'll be dealing with winter driving.
UDOT worked on 180 projects throughout the state this year, the biggest of which has been the two-year Point of the Mountain project. Halfway through completion, UDOT does intend to continue working on the project even through the winter, working mainly during nighttime hours.
Looking ahead to 2016, another major construction that is slated is I-215 from SR 201 to 4700 South in Salt Lake County.
Have you thought about how you'll be winding down your own projects for winter?
