In
case you didn't know, the U.S. Department of Labor had a new overtime
rule that was set to go into effect December 1st. The overtime rule
would double the overtime salary limit from $23,660 to $47,476 -
creating a significant burden on small home building firms and other
businesses. Many small business owners would be forced to scale back on
pay and benefits, as well as cut workers’ hours, hurting the very people
the rule was intended to help in the first place.
